Solved Can't use grenades

I have grenades in my inventory and can't throw them in land battles. Also I can't figure out how to use them for ship to ship battles. It doesn't give me the option to load them as an ammo type. Do I need to buy a different type of grenade from a store somewhere or what? Even tried putting grenades in weapons locker and ship chest in the captains quarters and the ship chest and gunpowder storage in the ships cargo hold.

Grenades are a pistol. Equip it and use it same as you would any other pistol.

For sea battles, you need bombs. They're a bit hard to come by these days.

So is it normal to have a "shooting a pistol" animation for the grenades? Wouldn't a punching animation like the one used to shut captives up with a backhand look better seeing as how it's closer to a throw than an invisible pistol shooting explosives?

Grenades are pistols. So you get the same animation. Can't change it; that's handled by the game engine.
