Changing ship/period

How to change which ship is available in which period ?

Edit the period chance values in PROGRAM\Ships\Ships_init.c .

Is there anything that seems wrong about that?

1. The value in the period lines is the encounter probability in random encounters and/or shipyards ?
2. If I want a quest ship to become "encounterable" and buyable, I understood that I'll have to add this lines, nation lines, but is there anything else to add somewere ?

1. Both.

2. Make sure to set it to CanBuy = true .
If you want to buy quest ships, you can also just visit Vanderdecken on Isla de Muerta.
