ahoy, brothers! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />
i have very simple question) -
can i use potc character model in aop?

maybe. i would think so, but AOP has certain animations that don't excist in PotC. like side-stepping. but as having AOP in PotC isn't a problem, it might work the other way around as well.

but that's not much use, is it? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

POTC characters do not work in AOP as Animation is diffrent, I tried it and characters are distorted <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Can't you use PotC's animation file? We had to put AoP's animation files into PotC to get the AoP characters to work. I suppose that is also required the other way around. PotC characters with AoP animation probably works just as badly as AoP characters with PotC information.

Heh! never thought of that Pieter, you mean you just simply plopped the AOP animation file in POTC animation folder and it works for AOP characters ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

We put the AoP animation file into PotC and let the AoP characters use that animation file instead of using the PotC file. Maximus did it all; I'm not sure if he made some other changes as well, but I reckon it should work from PotC to AoP as well. Somehow. Though I never ever tried AoP, so I don't really know much of it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />

Thanks Pieter, it's definetly worth giving a try <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
