You did a great job!
A couple of suggestions...
1) Add the Tailors Shop to the Fast Travel Menu. I found the tailor in Redmond and a few other places, but it sucks to have to wonder around and find them. And then forget where they are, so you have to do it all over again on your next visit. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

2) To a certain point, I'm not a big fan of all the ships being around port. They are good scenery, I like that. But I'm not a big fan of seeing 4 Pirate sloops attacking a fort when I leave port. They get killed in a matter of minutes.
3) A gunsmith! Love the Blacksmith feature, now we just need a gunsmith.
4) Perhaps have the ability to purchase your own home in a town? Not sure if that is possible. A place to dump loot, or spend the night and heal for another option other than the tavern. Also, if married, your wife would be there instead of at the Governor's mansion.
5) When I get promoted, I always go to the Tailor's office to buy a new uniform. However, when I have made it up to Commodore or Admiral, all the midshipman and leautinant uniforms are just cluttering up the menu since I have no use for them anymore. Need an option to get rid of them or sell back to the tailor.
6) Finally, have you considered an optional ending to the game? For example, after you finish the main quest, you have made it all the way to the rank of Duke, have sacked every town, etc., there really isn't anything left to do except start the game over and do it all again. Have you considered a "retirement" option, such as Pirates?
Those are just a few thoughts from my end. Once again, A+ job. Very addictive game, and it is made 1000% better by you all. Are you going to be modding the new Pirates! as well? Can't wait to pick it up tomorrow!
