Comprehensive List of Keyboard Commands?

Crusoe

Landlubber
Is there a full list of keyboard commands when in town and at sea? Or what file contains the configuration for these? I'm using build 12. I've been searching and have found nothing so far. Game didn't have a manual at all.
As an old player of the original seadogs I thought I'd try seadogsII.
I have no idea how to duel namely.
Thanks in advance.

There isn't a proper list for Build 12, but there IS for Build 13. Most of the key commands should be the same, only some won't apply to Build 12. Is there any particular reason why you're using Build 12 and not Build 13? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Thanks!
Using 12 since it's stable and I don't need the cheats, customizations, etc of later versions.

so, you don't want 9 new islands (or was it 6?) and the optional ability to sail from one island to another in 3D sailing mode? well, i do have to say that build 12.1 is nicer to play because it isn't so overly complicated.

Yeah I'll try out 12 first to get my sea legs. I like the idea of sailing in 3D mode between islands though.
Thanks again.

you'll have to install that mod seperately. the latest posts in the FAQ started by me tell you how.

Fair enough. I do think Build 12.1 is more stable than Build 13 Final ( <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> ), but Build 13 does have rather a lot of good new stuff and is pretty playable. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

You can now Alt+Tab out of the game or use the Windows button. Does that help?

Had to try 13 since 12 was crashing like mad switching between map and sea view. 13 has been perfectly stable so far but now I have some more questions:

I had to switch to portegese to "sneak" out of oxford. I'm guessin that's because the french already took the fort? I saved before leaving and of course got blown out of the water on first attempt with the english flag raised.

I boarded a pirate ship killed everyone on board and now none of the townsfolk will speak to me. Why? How can I avoid this? Can I repair the reputation enough by doing the first quest? I got a good fast schooner from the pirates but it's taking on water and can't buy planks to repair or sell it now.

Probably not the right thread for this, but here you go. If you start with your own flag raised, you can get out of Oxbay just fine. Generally speaking, putting surrendered people to the sword, or feeding them to the sharks, are not the actions of an honorable person. Ergo the reputation hit. To fix up your fast schooner, go to Quebradas Costillas and have the Pirate Shipyard patch it up for you. As for your reputation, if it concerns you, start doing "good deeds". Talk to everyone you encounter in the towns and warn them of their purses falling out. Get your money back from pickpockets but don't accept the stolen gems. Give donations to poor folks that ask you for money. Rescue wayward damsels in distress in the jungles at night. Or, my personal favorite, sink every French, Spanish, Dutch and Pirate ship you come across and rescue the men overboard. Prior to doing this last, I recommend getting a Letter of Marque from Silehard, the governor at Redmond. Your experience level, rank and personal wealth will go up very quickly this way. Of course, the downside to this is your crew money will not go up as quickly as you won't have all those ships to sell, but everything in life is a compromise. There are portions of the main quest that require you to have a reasonably decent reputation.

in a more direct approach, you might have accidentally hit the vessel after it surrendered. that gives a big hit.

Deleted question about surrender, I got it this evening. Thanks all.
