Difficulty ?

Landlubber
Guys - hi; bet you thought I was lost at sea.

Don't laugh, but I'm done doing my Oxbay "questing"(... crew + weapons).
Now it's tine to head To Douwesen(...upgrade swords), then QC(... to buy female outfit).

Before I head out and over to Redmond, I'm thinking of upping the difficulty to Jouneyman(... think that's next after Apprentice ?).

Using Build 12.1
My ?'s are..........>
1) Where is the option to alter the game difficulty ?
If it is too difficult, can I change back to Apprentice ?

2) Land Battles
What's the jump in difficulty add ?

3) Sea Battles
What does the jump in difficulty add ?

4) Any Surprises
I died enough the first time around and Greenford/fort almost was a game stopper = I don't like surprises ... hehe

I'll wait till you guys get Build13 to final before switching.
I'm going to try and better my sailing/fighting ... had lots of trouble getting the mini-map and enemy ship in correlation = I'd be shot at, yet no ship was on my "radar" ... had to zoom in to see the red wedge, yet I thought the range of my canon determined the size/length of the cone ... so, kept zooming in/out all game = trying to see if anyone was around :)
This game, I'm going to try fighting everything = drop the Pirate flag and say yes to engage :)

Thanks for your help guys = first time around was a pip
I'm hoping I learned something = at least my inventory is bare minimum, as I know what I need
Oh, and only one ship this time ... yes, it will be a MoW = someone has to take a pounding :)

"F1" key brings up the Options screen
You can switch back and forth between difficulty levels.

There aren't more enemy but they are stronger, have better swords and greater HP so they are harder to beat.
They also carry more money, and you get more experience points for defeating them.

It's a bigger jump than in land battles. More difficult for sure.

<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->4) Any Surprises<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I can't think of any.

Peyris- thanks for answering that bonehead question.
Haven't even thought about the options screen since I configured my keys :)

Tested the land/sea on Journeyman.
Land - doable ... just chug more health potions
Sea - I'm not patient enough :) ... we will have to get better before upping the difficulty

I even made my Basttleship faster/manuverable = because on my first play, my shoulder pain would turn in muscular spasms after 1hr 30min, due to all the ruddering :)
Geez, with a fast manuverable Battleship and I still have problems ?
But, I did go 6hrs last night ... now Horror of High Seas = yep, executing captured captains ... and now look like Blackbeard :)
Only shipyard/store on QC will deal with me ... hehe

Thanks for your help !
