Flags on ships in B14A9.5 Development Resources

something iv thought about is if the player gets a letter of marquee or a rank with a country could we not change there flag to the military one instead of basing it on ship type and if they don't have any rank then they get a trader one??

That idea is now done and working. It does mean that in some quest cases where you are to fly a nation's flag,
you'll ALWAYS get the merchant flag unless you give a LoM to the player first.

One thing that bothers me still is with the white flag on surrendered ships.
The white flag it shown on ALL masts as an ensign and doesn't make proper use of the pennants.
I wonder if it could be changed so that:
- The ensigns change to white ensigns and the pennants to white pennants
OR
- The pennants don't change and still indicate the old nation
