I've been thinking ,why not give the pirates community a "history" gift. What im saying is that at the official release date of Age of Pirates you to release the source code of Sea Dogs ,maybe just the engine. Relic Entertainment did this when they released Homeworld2 ,they placed the Homeworld1 (1999) on their website so all the mods could really see how it was all done.

I dont think its up to Akella raven, I think its Bethesda's door you need to be knocking on that. Not sure who published the AOS series though so that might be possible

With POTC, all the code is property of Bethesda, so with can't make it public, neither we can release any modding tools without Bethesda's approval. I suppose the same is with Sea Dogs.
