Game Crashes? Try this...

Okay, after many hours of frustration with POTC, I think I've found a solution.
After visiting the Intel website, I read through the tech info for the graphics card. It suggested that I try running the game at 640x480, High Color, 16 bit.
Well, whaddya know, so far the game hasn't dumped in over 2 hrs of game play (fingers crossed).
Build 11 installed, fog off, no coastraiders, etc.
Sure beats wanting to turn pirate and sack everything...

ADDED- I was still having some crashes after changing graphics to 640x480x16. After reviewing the internet, I found this topic which seems to have worked (game hasn't crashed the whole day).

Go to Start/Control Panel/System

then click on the Advanced tab up top. Then go to the Performance block, click Advanced, then Settings.

At the bottom you'll see "Virtual Memory". Click on "change". I changed it to 400mb and everything seems to run smoothly (anything higher and it was lagging). Make sure you hit the "apply" tab. This was for Windows XP.

For any other system, just do a word search such as "virtual memory + 'your system' ". The virtual memory range is dependent on your hard drive memory.
