I'm trying to run the vanilla PoTC on a Core 2 Duo machine running Windows XP SP3 but the game always crashes in sea.dll. I've never seen this issue before.
The computer is up to date. My drivers are up to date. The video card supports up to DirectX 9.0c and everything checks out OK.
I tried copying ENGINE.exe and the MODULES/ folder from the New Horizons mod as I understand that these files are from the European release which is supposed to be somewhat better than the original USA release but the game crashes exactly the same.
Does anyone know if something can be done about this?
