How can I get the money in redmond up?

I sail for Spain, only under pirate colors. I regularly sack redmond and oxbay, when I first started doing this I was getting about 1 million each time, then after the third time it dropped off to about half a million, now its getting lower each time. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

Well, you go attack the fort of a town then board the fort, and when youve killed everyone in the fort you have "sacked" a town. You get lots of money and all of your ships get repaired and you get goods like wheat and stuff like that.

Captain_Payne, I think you're attacking them much too soon, you should give them some time to gain back what you've stolen from them. If you sack the town too soon after the last time, they might not have had enough time to recover from your last visit...

Ohh and Perfect dont go up against any forts if you havent got a good boat,

And if you dont got the PMT build 11, download it right awey it makes this game 30 times funer, more ships more weapons more quests!

Get it from pirates ahoy file sector

Actually, I got tired of Pirates of the Caribbean a long time ago... recently `re-installed` it because I heard about Build 11.

Oh, I tried attacking a fort with a Battleship... spent almost all my cannonballs and bombs yet the fort's health is still 100%, and all my shots hit. Pretty sad.

Well that's why you should leave the aiming to the computer. (I mean auto aim without that reticle)

Because you need to blow up the fort cannons, which are behind those little spaces on top of the wall. Hitting the walls of the fort won't do anything. I also advise using cannonballs, although using bombs seems more logical! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" />

Perfekt, you can take a fort with a Battleship - get the heaviest cannon you can put on it, and use canonballs ONLY - and aim (YES, AIM) at the tops of the walls and towers. You'll see the damage in the log reflected as "fort cannon destroyed" (I think that's what it says)... You have to get them all - or as many as you can, and eventually if enough of them are damaged you can sail closer to the fort and you'll get the "Burning Fort" icon which means you can land and do battle `one-on`-one inside the fort.

I guess my aiming is terrible... tried taking a fort for several hours... and although I kept hitting it, it just won't die! Maybe I should just stick with ships.
