How do I install new cannons?

I'm using build 14 alpha 7 with all (Isuppose) bugfixes right now, but I simply can't install new cannons on my ship. You see, I go trough the cannons menu in the shipyard and no matter which ones I choose, when I press the "install" button nothing happens. I only see the cannons distribution in my ship ( how many are there in front, back, left and right) and the "repair" button, which obviously doesn't do anything because I want to intall new ones, not repair them. Also the menu becomes short of hanged, I can only click that button, everything else doesn't work when I click it and I have to get out by the escape key.

Any advice?
 
Try using the "Install All" button instead. It should be to the left of the "Install" button.
 
There's no such button, I can only see the "Install" and "Repair" buttons. What's more the menu doesn't even display the cost for the complete set, which is blank, it only displays the cost per individual unit.
 
That's odd. You're supposed to get the screen as shown in attached screenshot. Just press the "Install All" button on that screen. DON'T press the "Install" button; that is for when you want to install individual cannons.
 
that button must be new for b14a7. if it is, maybe a menu file got mixed up so the buttons aren't aligned with the places you should press or something like that?
 
I guess nobody else is experiencing this on b14a7? I can't attach a screenshot, file is to big, but I can tell you that in my case the menu is completely different, there button aren't named like that and there's a bar with arrows between them with arrows, I guess that for selecting the number of cannons to be repaired, but it doesn't seem to work.

How can I attach a screenshot here? It says the limit is 500k and mines are 3,5mb!
 
Save the screenshots as JPG instead of BMP.

The screen you describe sounds like the screen you get when you press the "Install" button. When you talk to the shipyard owner to install new cannons, the screen I posted is the screen you get. Or at least it should be.
 
Hey I found out!

You are using the OLD-looking interface!

I was using the NEW-looking interface!

After switching to old interface everything is normal again! This means the new interface is bugged!
Strangely, when I used b13 this didn't happen with the new interface.
Try the new interface in the options menu and tell me if you experience the same when trying to install cannons please.
 
You're quite right. I see what you mean. Let's see if I can fix that.

If you extract attached file to RESOURCE\INI\NEW_INTERFACES, does that help?
