How Do I Take Over Colonies?

Yep, Fred Bob basically gave you the gist of it. You hammer on the fort 'til it submits, then you have to fight for the city against the soldiers that are left over.

umm yeah lol one more thing i'm new in-game here i'm a vteran from the potc days but yea cut a long story short everyones my friend i can't attack noone why and i wanna lol 2 conquer there forts

So just sail up to their fort, switch to deck view. Aim your guns at the fort and start firing. Be warned, they WILL return fire. **grins**
