Laptops...

I plan on running this game on a laptop. I know that some controls have been made to use the full keyboard.
I am just wondering whether there is no real difference and if you can set which key does what?

yea, same here, im going to try and play this in my laptop too. with POTC, i had some problems due to graphics but with the Port Royale, i was able to play the game.

needs to know if i will encounter some problems if i use it w/ laptop.

I don't see any reason why it won't run on a laptop, and you'll probably be able to remap keys so if your laptop doesn't have a certain one you can just change it.
