leaving Oxbay

Ahoy!,

Im complaining again about an error when leaving oxbay...I've got build 12.1 and the postbuild and update all from pieters pirate page..

Nothing is edited...I pick a character....I sell chcolate etc..Spyglass...repair my ship...Put relation to french...and set sail...Yet it freezes while loading...I can't find a way past it! Only once I had managed to get passed it..Flying british colours..But of course I was sunk in seconds by the fort.

Whats going on? Some error I can't get passed? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

Have you tried another nation. I use Portugal and that generally works. I don't understand why if you were flying British colors, the British fort would sink you. Are you sure it was not the French MOW's that are attacking Oxbay that sunk you. The French ships will attack any ship coming out of the Oxbay port at this time, unless the ship is neutral/friendly to France. I have noticed the French flag does not always help you, but another nation flag will. Hope this helps.

I must definitely check why French flag doesn't always help - it SHOULD. However, if there are i.e. Bristish or Pirates ships in harbour they'll be hostile. Fort is attacking British shipping because it's captured immediately, just in time between Nathaniel gets into rowboat and reaches his ship. So, when you leave harbour, it's already French.

Since how long did you noticed problems with using French flag at Oxbay? Does it still occurs with newest small update made by Pieter yesterday?

The whole Flag/relation thing is screwed as of today or the May25th download....it has all come undone...the settings are set to Neutral for nations toward you, and for countries, everyone shows Peace with Everyone, Until certain ships and forts are firing on people again....dont try to figure this one out, and the experts hopefully will figure this one out soon.....We are almost at a Stable Working Build 13...so close...."Redfox" I think you popped in at just the wrong time, thats all!....and most people arent aware of these settings yet

I changed my " Peace with Everyone " settings before I started a new game, so that I'm hostile with the majority,just to make the game fun.

Although I usually use the " Storm " sequence when I start cause it's like a lucky dip, you never know where you are going to end up.

So I just give up? Well It doesn't matter. I can fly the colours of portugal and everything works fine. Though..I can't sail frigate, or light-frigates cause it freezes. But I can handle it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Might figuire out the problem myself someday.
