In your POTC directory there should be a config.exe file of some sort that you can use to change what resolution you are using and possibly have it in windowed mode.
I never use it myself as using a higher resolution plays havoc with my game and the mouse becomes sluggish <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

(unfortunatly I dont frequent the pub that often as its a gay bar which adds unfortunate inuendos to the name but still... it has a cool sign hehe)
