modding freshman needs help

[yo ho ho]

I´ve found some nice ship models.
they are .gm files but the game (AoP) crashes.
how can i add them to AoP??
I´ve all tools but nothing works. I think i am too stupid.
please help me or can some one convert it?

I think we already have been able to transfer most of the ships from AoP over to PotC <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
However, I dont know how many and certainly not which! I think somebody else is better qualified to answer that question...

AoP to PotC or Potc to AoP is all the same!

i hope to learn more about importing/moddeling.

Ehm. No, it's not the same. AoP and PotC work slightly different when it comes to ships.
