I have found a great Medival Total War mod that makes it into the Napoleonic/Imperial age.
It requires the Viking Invasion exp pack with a clean install, and it the map part of the game looks a little ugly untill you get used to it, but the battles are excellent and imho its a really good mod. heres a link to a site where you can download it.

oh and so far as i can tell there are no noticable bugs in it.... and also so you dont get confused, when you start a new game to get the Napoleonic campaign you have to press the arrow that points down where it has the era's
