Need help compiling Build 13!!!!!!!!

Hello all,

I am trying to compile the final Build 13. Unfortunately I have <i>so</i> much new code that I haven't got the slightest idea what should go into Build 13 and what should not. Please, <i>please</i> help! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wacko:" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />

On the PA! FTP you can find a folder "+ Build 13 WIP Work". In it are <i>Build 13.zip</i> and <i>Post Build 13.zip</i>. I need help deciding what code from the Post Build 13 zip file should be added to the final Build 13 version. I really need help with that to make Build 13 as good as it can be.

If I don't get help, I will just add the things I am certain should be added and leave the rest. Then at least we'd have a Build 13 release, though it would be quite imperfect. Then we can try to make Build 13.1 the truly good version. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
What exactly is the process that you are talking about?

Is it the case that you don't know what code belongs to what mod, and therefore aren't sure where to put things? I'm kind of just shooting in the dark here though. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Please explain the system you are using.

if we want working resurrection system, you should include lines 99-106 and all marked with KK in function GameOver in seadogs.c; as well as my changes in characters\init and locations\init directories (both with exception for ship.c).
 
Definatly keep the Character Selection and "Clothing" system <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Also i think toning down the Rations system or at least making it part of the Malcom speech would be good, goodness knows i've run out of foodstuffs right at the beginning of the game from running around doing the intro quests and i had no idea what they need beside rum or why it was running out so fast.
 
To explain the process I'm talking about: I have made two versions of the code for Build 13, both available from the FTP in the "+ Build 13 WIP Work" folder:
<b>Build 13.zip</b>
Contains the current Build 13 Beta code plus some additional fixes

<b>Post Build 13.zip</b>
Contains the same as <i>Build 13.zip</i> in addition to a lot of additional code by Pirate_KK, Maximus and Hook.

I am using <a href="http://winmerge.sourceforge.net" target="_blank">WinMerge</a>, a program to show differences between two different codebases, to compare both versions. However, I'm having some trouble deciding which of these differences should go into the final Build 13 and which ones should not. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

To Mr Mistophelees: Get <a href="http://www.s31clan.com/pietersmods/ftp_commander.zip" target="_blank">FTP Commander</a> from <a href="http://pieter.piratesahoy.org" target="_blank">my site</a>. The FTP is already defined in there and it should work quite easily. For the login info of the FTP, see <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=5178" target="_blank">here</a>.

To Jason: I just checked. The FTP IS working for me, but I do admit it is working rather slowly.

If you want working Santiago, you should also include my changes in PROGRAM\ISLANDS\Islands_init.c in lines 820-821 and 840-894.

As for tutorial, the thing is more complicated. I think you should include at least lines 8-24 and everything I changed after reload to Oxbay. You'll also need to include all my changes in TownTable.c. Of course, my version of Malcolm Hatcher_dialog.c is required, plus my version of PROGRAM\characters\init\TempQuestCharacters.c.
