Nero programs interfering with POTC

I have installed some Nero programs (for burning DVD:s etc etc). I have tried both with legally bought programs and other. At some point of the install process I have to decide which file types should be "associated" with Nero programs. This seems to be impossible: If I "check" for ex. MPEG-4 (to be "Nero styled") I can burn DVD:s but not open POTC. These are the log results when checking MPEG-4 "as Nero". No other programs are.
No errorlog.

Yes and I have got that "advrcntr2.dll" from internet and placed it in many places.

Has anyone any experience of something like this? Or an easier question: In what format are the POTC ingame videos? I can´t see that.

I heard about Nero causing trouble before. Usually PotC gives a "debugger found" error report are refuses to start. I don't think anybody manage to figure out how to solve that issue. The PotC movie films are WMV.

As NERO progtrams only are causing trouble, please someone do give me some suggestions in the following cases:

1) A program for burning CD:s.

2) A program for copying dvd:s.

3) A program for burning dvd-films from the HD.

4) A sound editing program. (nero wave editor was lost in the process)

NONE of the new programs could be NERO. Thank you if you want to help me out of this ...
