can't you just copy the rigging entirely? or does it need complete re-rigging?

You can copy the masts over it, but you need to copy the locators of ship.gm of the model itself.

TOOL cant read the models.
All new rope locators are in the MAST and REY models.

you must rename the mast to your deck.tga (deck.bmp at the moment) and copy the masts to the models you have ingame.

You could copy the whole folder and HEX-edit the GM file to use the original texture.
