• Witness the consequences of your actions in current events throughout the Pirates! world

• Battle, overtake and command 27 different ship types, enhanced with assorted ammo, cannon and other upgrades

• Take on various foes including merchant and military captains, ferocious pirates, evil gentry and even rival suitors — each with different skills and abilities

• Confront enemies on board ships, in seedy taverns, on the ramparts and even at the Governor’s mansion

• Wield weapons — or anything within your reach — as you fence against foes

• Engage in fierce naval battles fighting single enemies or multiple ships

• Sneak into towns, escape out of prisons, navigate around adversaries and surprise unsuspecting vessels

• Dispatch landing parties of buccaneers in strategic battles to take over entire cities

• Increase your riches and impress the governor’s daughter with your charm, fame, heroism — even your dancing abilities

• Enhance your gameplay experience with downloadable content including flags, sail emblems, character skins and more

Still nothing on modding towns :gday Tell us what you think of it

I think those screenshots looks better than the ones I have seen before.

the men looks more real here... not so cartoonish.....

Have they changed the graphics?

I think the landscape looks ok with sand and trees...

The feature list looks amazing and based on that I still consider Pirates as the best game ever I believe that this game will be the best game in years.....despite the average graphics.

enough of this link............. you make my mouth watery <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cheers.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="cheers.gif" />: <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cheers.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="cheers.gif" />: <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cheers.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="cheers.gif" />: <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cheers.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="cheers.gif" />:

When at E3, William and I got a demonstration of what it would be like to run around an island WITH your crew (a good fifteen or twenty of them, as I recall), hunting down clues on a pirate map - I did not get a shot of it, but when you find it, there's a BIG "X" which marks the spot, LOL! Pretty funny. I think the humor and lightheartedness of the new game will be as much if not even more fun than the original. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

... kinda Monkey Island like in some respects, Cat or William? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Mmmm, maybe not quite so over the top "silly"... But there is a sense of fun in what you do in P!2... I thought the whole crew running all over the island with you looking for the "X" that marks the spot was fun - wacky fun - with a purpose, tho. You have to do some thinking to figure out where to go - the map has pieces which you get here and there, and you have to THINK - puzzle it out - and then go on a wild run with your crew.

I dunno, maybe it's just me, I mean, I liked the enemy when the main character (player) was fighting - when the player was defeated, the enemy captain and his crew advanced upon him and the `first-person` view of them advancing on you, the character, with their lips curled and their swords pointed, hahaha, well... I kept saying, HEY, I RECOGNIZE that guy, or I want that guy on MY crew!!!

Even the dancing is funny, if you miss your cue or miss the beat, she gets annoyed with you - and at the end if she's unhappy with you, she'll let you know... On the other hand, if you do well, you can kiss her hand, or if you do REALLY WELL, you can do a big swooping hug/dip of a kiss, wheew... Hahah, what's a piratey adventure without a little old fashioned romance?

It just looks like barrels of fun, cartoony graphics aside. I like a game that makes me laugh.

(this coming from someone who enjoyed "American McGee's Alice"! LOL!) I guess I have a twisted sense of humor. (duh!) I think the folks at Atari and Firaxis do too! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
