Petite Goave

I am in the very beginning of the game. I went to one island....I don't remember it's name and then I asked some stranger for work at the tavern. SO, I accepted the job, which was to e scort one ship to Petite Goave. But my problem is - I can't find this island. Where is it? Help please.

BTW: I am playing AOP 1.41

I don't play AoP, but I believe I'm able to give a bit of assistance - Petit Goave was French settlement on the western coast of Hispaniola. If you approach island from the east sailing from the southern side, you'd first see Spanish Santo Domingo which is located in about the center part of the south of island; then you should go around the southern one from two "forks" on the west and sail into the large bay. After reaching its bottom you should have at least two French towns in sight; Petite Goave is one on the south in a place when southern "fork" connects with the main part of the island.

thanks!!! I'll try it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Have you learned how to scroll the "paper" map? If not, you won't see many of the ports! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

pirate_kk is right - Petite Goave is located in a large bay on the western part of Hispaniola. The game usually gives you lots of time to complete missions at such long distances, so you can afford to make your way up the chain of islands to the east of the map (Guadeloupe, Montserrat, Nevis, St. Kitts), then head west towards San Juan and Isla Mona, then continue west to Santo Domingo and Petite Goave. It's up to you what you get up to at or near these various ports. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pirate_plain.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p3" border="0" alt="pirate_plain.gif" />

LOL, I just figured it out last night after reinstalling this game for the first time since I angrily unistalled it a week or so after releaase. Wow, opens up a whole new world doesn't it? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> It's not exactly Sid Meier's extensive map, but at least we have different venues. Thank goodness I accidentally bumped my mouse, sending it to a far corner of the screen and forcing the map to move, or else I'd be stuck in the Lesser Antilles for my entire pirate career!
