Pirates Ahoy! FTP Online....again

Welcome to the Pirates Ahoy! public FTP. This is a service we provide for all modders looking to host their files, also for others to work on mods in groups. The ftp details are handed over in good faith and it would be appreciated if you played by the rules.

Please remember this is a PUBLIC ftp and all files can be deleted by anyone malicious, keep backups on your own computer!. If you have a large download or feel you need a private login/webspace please contact any of the mod team via PM.

There are 4 public ftp sites potc/aop/build/coas I'll let you figure out what files go where.

Remember the rules of using the servers, and also remember as these are public server that your files can be deleted at anytime so keep backups. As well files can be corrupted and have viruses added and so on, PA! accepts no responsibility for computers blowing up and stuff because you didn't virus check the file you downloaded.

Also these ftp sites will only be for mods, all patches and official release files can be found on the main website downloads area. These, of course, are all OK and free of virus and so on.

Rules are.

1) All files are for public downloading.

2) All files are pirate related

3) No full games or warez stuff

4) no porn, or even pirate porn which personally i havn't seen to much of these days but its a crazy crazy business.............or so i'm told - All these items must be screened first by William or myself.

5) No deleting of files that are not your own.

6) All uploads shall contain a readme file. If not, PA! reserves the right to delete the file.

Read Me to include

a. What program and what version the upload is intended for.

b. What the mod is intended to do.

c. Who wrote the mod/file

d.Copyright notice the author decides to include ** Strongly suggested.

For those of you who are internet resistant, I can suggest an FTP client for you. I use one called Smart FTP you can download it Filezilla

yes you do need a FTP program like the one linked to at the bottom of the first post.

I am trying to access the ftp, I have SmartFTP, but it keeps asking me for a password, and I have used all the ones I can think of, i.e. mine, and the "pass", but still am unable to access the ftp, any suggestions?

I can log into the FTP just fine with <a href="http://s31clan.com/privateftps/pietersmods/potc_downloads/tools/ftp_commander.zip" target="_blank">FTP Commander</a>.

Talking about SmartFTP: I was under the impression that it was free to use for non-comercial purposes, but then after a while it expired on me anyway. Very annoying. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

Yes I did try the "p1rate5ah0y" pass, when it gave me a screen to log into and then it said "530 Login authentication failed", so I'm fresh out of ideas.

UPDATE

I used FTP Commander, and it worked just fine, thanks for the link.

Then try the old idea of downloading FTP Commander from my site. All login information is already set correctly there. If you still can't log in, it's a firewall problem on your end.
