Priest won't talk to me

I'm at the stage where I need to talk to the Isla Muelle priest, so he can grant me access to the library to meet Danielle.
But I can't talk to him, not with space or other means.

I think this may be caused by the " Something strange in the Archisomething " quest where the priest is abducted.
When I was in the animist lair, I was searching for the priest to free him, but strangely couldn't find him at all so I'm not sure if I've actually freed him. The priest at Redmond still gave me a reward for finding him though, is that normal?

Well, i've had a similar problem... When i got it i could walk back to the animist place, he should be in one of the prison cells. ironicly he belives he's back into the church so he just speak as normal <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Just talk with him and you'll see <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
