Problems with Vista on build 13

Hi all,
I used to be a member here back when build packs were still in single digits. Old computer crashed, bought a new one and when digging through my software found POTC, and was wondering what new great stuff you guys have come up with. Problem is I can't run build 13. Game runs fine as original, but the build doesn't work. Crashes while storm engine is still loading.
I have:
Gateway GT5476E
Vista
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5000+ 2.6 Ghz
1919 MB Ram
32 bit OS

How did you install? It should work. I've been running PotC on Windows Vista for months.

Clean install. Did an overwrite on PROGRAM and RESOURCE from the zip download.

P.S. Have tried every compatability mode, too.

So the game does work without mods but not with? Build 13 is not supposed to be a ZIP file. It's supposed to be an EXE installer. What file did you install? What's the filename and filesize?

Got it as a .zip but there was no EXE in it. It was the only link for the b13 that I could get to work.

Ah! There's your problem! You need to install Build 13 first. You can find it on the <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10288" target="_blank">PotC Build FTP</a>. Unfortunately the normal download site is still down. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
