Reskinned Ships for AOP

I have made a skin of the brig in royal navy style, only the problem is i don`t know how to get them ingame, due the fact that it is totally different as POTC (So if someone wants to try), but here are some pictures:

wonderfull work, now we need to get them in the game so we can add it to the mod <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
I agree with cybercops,looks great and hopefully someone with a bit more experience or a pair of fresh eyes can figure out how to get your skins working ingame.
 
Thomas, your not alone in this matter, i'm working on a replica of the batavia currently, skin first, and working on a mode to skin it with afterwards,

i've been trying to figure out how to add ships as well, so far no luck here either
 
I looked into common ini, and there is somethin of brig, "brig", but in POTC it uses its model name, and the model name of the orginal is Brig1. I think it should be in Program, only porgram is a DAT bestand, maybe if we could have a program that DAT converts to text

skin first and then working on a mode to skin it? if you mean making a seperate model you should copie the orginal model and hex them with the hex editor.

I started off with making the batavia as a skin for the galleon,i stopped that after i found out too many things werent they way they should be and am now working on a model for it,
thats what i meant with it thomas

the batavia in basic is a galleon, only longer and with more detail added to it, i'm trying to recreate that then convert the skin to work with it

just curious why you would pick a pinnace instead of the fleut/galleon

I want ed to do so, only i didn`t had the time <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" /> sorry petros, i borrowed some nice detailes from Petros Dutch Fleut ™.
 
Oh and Petros, how do you get those detailes for example your Dutch fleut, how do you get the statues?

Archea, i picked the Pinnace because i liked the ships shape, and it was much more easy to skin that then the fleut. I have tried the fleut to, only that results weren`t as good.

Royal Navy ship, I am gonna remove the flag attached to the sail, and gonna add some more ropes. I hope you like it, took the Grand Turk as example.
 
Cant we take the existing ship models and " clone" them change the stats and put them in the game?

This way you could have a Light frigate a regular game type frigate and a heavy frigate ..for example.

I cant find the right way to change the damned names...to make the appear in the ship yard for a start. and also to offer them as options in the game . The only way it seems is to copy the method used to put the Black pearl in the super mod..and I dont have the tools or ability yet..to even do that .

I thought it would be easy ...to at least make the ship available for sale.

Then just reference the picture file and put the changed name in the init file ...but I cant figure out how to do the C and H files.

I was looking to do something like in Potc ..with all the versions of Brigs etc...

But so far all I get is engine failures.

Anyone want to tutor me ?

do anyone how where i can find the tx files for the mast of each ships from aop to skinning?i dint mean the deck_mast files! i find only the gm files. ok i found that the mast-color must be in the folder "texture" but i dont know which it is ,..i tooka look of all tx files but i didnt found anything.
