Rifle Question

Hi mateys,

I'm pretty new on this site but I'm a huge fan of pirating games...
While I was playing AOP2 I have required a rifle (looks very powerful) kinda thing but cannot equip it. I can equip a quad barrel gun.
I wonder if I can use it or not.

Only rifle i found is Double barrel musket and its a part of the same quest...U can find shotgun and equip it

Boarding some big ships (Ship of the line, WarShip... class 1 vessels) I salvaged some plain muskets from the corpses after the fight. It´s powerful (damage 80-270 and very accurate) but seems that only musketeers can equip them... Muskets can only be weilded by the Musketeer Officer Quest or is it any other way?

If I'm not mistaken name of the gun was muskatoon ( I believe what you call shotgun) and I also got it from a dead soldier with 300 bullets. So there is no way to equip it ourselves, only an officer can equip it, right?

Only musketeer can use musketoon (blunderbuss). But he did not need him, he has a double-barreled musket. Musketeer has another animation. In the patch 1.2.3 Hardcore Edition (only for the Russian version) the main character can use musketoon.

That update for the Russian version adds the ability to carry both a rifle and a pistol on at LEAST one of the characters.

He's not asking any questions. He's just voicing his opinion that it sucks that the player can't use the rifle.
