Savegames not working

I'm back playing the game after a couple of years. Steam pushed an update to SeaDogs and now none of my savegames will load, they all cause the game to crash to desktop after a few seconds of trying to load. Any ideas on what to do? Don't really want to start from scratch...is there a way to roll back the version of the game? Appreciate any help, thanks!

Nevermind, I found a steam post about rolling back to 'beta' version 1.4... Everything is working again!

Hello, @RoyFokker Welcome to our community.

You should probably consider updating to the latest version soon and when you do you should check out these files/MODs:

• Hook's Mod
• Additional Music for the game
• Better Tichingitu
• Smart Start - This is so you won't have a hard time in a new game.
• QuickSaveLoad Mod

And there are more loot out there so just keep digging for treasures and knowledge you might want and or want to try. Who knows, you might leave something behind as well for other folks to find in the future.

Yes, you should update especially if you want to play Flying the Jolly Roger or Hero of the nation.

Or use one of the above mentioned mods.
