At first the game was solid as a rock....but now that I have around 5 hours playtime, it is crashing every 10 minutes. Halfway through a battle, saving the game, it's completely unpredictable....all of a sudden it just kicks me out to the desktop.

Anyone else having a similar experience?
 
I've got the game a couple of days ago, and it kept running fine ... . Untill I got that 2nd part of the map(today that is)...

Now the game is highly unstable ... craches at sea (right when you succesfully boared an enemy ship) craches when moaring to land ...

Also evrytime I hit the spacebar now ingame , my Pc *beeps*
 
See I was fine until I actually did something with the map. (Go where it tells you...)

(OT: I love alliterations, England. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Belgian Bastard ... mwuaha!)
 
If you have narrowed down the start of the crashing to that specific point it is worth letting Playlogic know about it so that they can work on a fix. If we don't feed this info back to the developers it will be even longer before we get a patch

My system beeps whenever I hit spacebar and aiming at the enemy(when the crossair turns red)

and the first time I got this is quit a story:

So I bought the 2nd part of the map, and I desided to go on a nice hunt with my captured brig(I captured a brig at lvl 4 with a barque, quite a fight that was <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" />

Now I was lvl 8 and I was about to help some spanish defeating some pirates (you know random fighing encouters on the world map).

I got there, entered a lugger, and the rest of that mod was fleeing from battle

However when I retuned to the "seaworld" this spanish wargaleon was firing at me for no reason, its icon was still green, and the other spansh ships when't firing either. I checked the relations menu to make sure I didn't hit him, and I was indeed still friendly with the spanish.

I tought that the ship might been boared by pirates but still hadn't changed colours om sothing like that

So I fired at it *BEEP* crash

luckely I saved just befour I fired ,and loaded it again

Fired

*BEEP*

got closer and entered and I won pretty easy.

Now I have this nice wargalleon at lvl9 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

BUT the spanish are hostile towards me (anyone knowing where the agents are ?? they're not mentioned in the manual <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" /> )

AND evrytime I fired (red crossair) My pc goes BEEP (pretty anoying)

AND since I got this map half of the time the game craches at sea <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Yep. I get system beeps when i press space in 1st person ship mode. I also get the strange hang, It hangs for a moment every few seconds... its wierd.

I bought that game before reading all that Stuff about Starforce Protection on the Net.
...And I'm sorry buying that piece of sh....
It will not be installed on my PC!!!! Check it out!!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" />

These crashes and problems are not starforce related, and if you're so worried about it, im sure someone on the net has already developed tools for disabling the cd check and removing starforce. I dont see what the big chip on peoples shoulder is aboiut starforce games. Starforce does not always = the cause of all game bugs. I'm not saying that starforce is an angel on the system either (Disc checks take so long) because of some of the stuff its done to peoples systems.
 
POTC was just as buggy....it's the engine that has all the bugs, not starforce. I remember getting blue screens every hour playing POTC....at least now it's just a CTD.
 
Your right.. StarForce is not responsible for the bugs, but it is DESTROYING your PC, i am crazy? Try using two DVD Burners and have StarForce on the PC and see what happens after the 5th time you play the game with SF.

Remember when Saebro said NOT to buy AoP - CT cuz it was very unfinished and buggy? Everyone flamed the hell out of him.

I have done, ive had no problems as long as i throttle my top drive down (because its cheap). Im not happy with starforce and the methods it uses to protect games from being pirated, but im not going to boycott it until it obviously damages my pc, as it prevents me from playing games i really wanna play, and im stuck with it until the offical X3 NODVD patch comes out, after that i'll be ridding myself of starforce ASAP :p.

And as to the second paragraph. No, I dont remember him, I havent been here that long
