hello everybody, i want to know if there are a way to disable the starforce thing...if there exist some way to play AOP without install starforce, i install the 1.43 patch but i still can't play it becouse that starforce thing...well, thanks for all
 
Only thing that comes to mind is reinstalling without patching - install the "Super"mod and pray that it fixes the issues you've been having in your 1.41/2 version. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

I know, I've been checking GameCopyWorld every five minutes if there's a 1.43 crack out... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
 
In which folder should I have to look to check if that StarForce crap is installed?

Because I just install AoP and the SuperMOD on another computer and just copy the folder to my second PC. So I've never install any files from that StarForce Protection or AoP on my second computer and normally there are no entries in the registry and somewhere else.

Strangly the game is still working without any installation.

So I want to know if this SF is working on my system or not.
 
Run the starforce rmoval tool, if SF is on yr computer i will tell you to restart PC to remove SF drivers, if you don't have SF installed it will tell you that <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

My AoP (with SuperMod) runs completly without DVD and as it seems without StarForce. Don't know if Cyberops add some kind of no-DVD crack or something or this a kind of exploit but it works for me.

Maybe someone can test this to prove if it works or not.

So that's what I did.

1. Install AoP (including StarForce installation)
2. Install all updates (don't know if it is necessary)
3. Install SuperMod (all updates)
4. Copy the whole AoP folder to somewhere else (I've just copy it to my mobile harddisk and copy it later to my second PC but it should work the same way if you copy AoP to a different folder)
5. uninstall the original AoP installation
6. run the Starforce Removal Tool (maybe run a RegCleaner as well), delete all remaining AoP files from the original installation.
7. try to start the AoP copy from your new folder (try it with and without DVD)

As I said before it works for me without DVD and without StarForce check. I've posted this a few times and here it is again:
Install AOP1.41 and when the sreen appears to install SF,
ignore it! Next is Supermod and updates1,2 and 3. Thats it!!!
Everything you need is in the Supermod, including the NOCD
fix. You'll still have Problems but not nearly as many!
......and don't even think of installing any of the 'PATCHES'!!
All they do is bugger it up again and the worst part,They will install
STARFORCE!!!! So stay well clear of it! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sailr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":sail" border="0" alt="sailr.gif" />

Just to bring this back to people's attention.

a fart free patch is available for 1.5 on Game Burn World.
 
yep, ive got it and it works like a charm, ontop of that i have not had a single crash in singplayer(had one in multi) since, and ive played for 5 hours now, the only bug ive encountered is the "beep" now and then.
 
Once I had Starforce installed there was no way how to remove it sucessfully for me. Although there wasn´t any trace of it in my computer after uninstalling starforce drivers, the problems with computer and especially with DVD drives remained. The only reliable method how to remove problems with not properly working DVD drives was formatting C hardrive and reinstalling all computer anew. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />
