Texture problem with Build14 Alpha 8

Well I just installed Build 14 Alpha 8 after having Build 13 Final for a long time. Anyways I'm pretty sure I did the installation correctly, but after I was finished getting off of the ship at the start, a lot of the textures (trees and walls) were just a smooth grey in the town and there were really bright objects on the docks area. Here's a couple picture...

lol i did the same thing as you have just done

all you need to do is run the runme thing that is what i did

Yup you need to run the runme bat because that installs the new texturing system.

So the next time, read the installation instructions <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

HAD THE SAME PROBLEM REINSTALED THE GAME AND EVERYTHING WAS OK

don't need caps, did you install in the correct order and RAN the RUNME.BAT?

Someone else had the same problem and the runme.bat solved it. And BTW, if you don't like such bugs. The ALPHA is a TEST version for modders and testers alike. So don't go nagging about if it doesn't work like you want.
