The Black pearl only has 44 guns?..

... I've just read a thread in the 'modding' section about how to 'encounter and board' the Pearl.. and the 'txt' files gives the pearl as having 44 guns? Ok they are 32 pounders but hey... its a bit dissapointing, I know historically Pirates tended to have `small-ish` vessels.

I've come accross ships that have 3 gun decks from front to back, which means they must have 100 guns or so. I've seen the same ships for all countries... I want one, can they be purchased, if so from where. Otherwise I'll have to board a Frenchie one (frenchies should be swimming not sailing, its in their nature <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> )

Yeah, most of the larger ships have 44 guns--the frigates, warships, and lineships, if I remember correctly. The two largest ships are the battleship (70 guns), and the `man-o`-war (100 guns, huge beast!). If you manage to nab one of those (and have enough crew to sail it!), it's the biggest in the ocean.

If are playing with latest build then you can buy it from any shipyard in main island of any nation or capture it from hostile nation fleet .

MOW's are awsome, `firepower-wise`, but they are slow and cumbersome to maneuver.
