The "Fn" key...

As you know, cheat mode is activated via the number pad. You may recall me asking how to reassign these sinc I have a laptop. I discovered that my laptop DOES have a built in number pad. Itinvolves holding a button next to the ctrl key called the "Fn" key. Holding this button acctivates secondary functions for many keys, including a number pad. 7,8,9 are the same; U,I,O are 4,5,6; and J,K,L are 1,2,3. Happy, I tried this "Fn" key in game and it didn't work. The cheat keys are set to thier basic settings so my question is, how do I use this built in key pad. I use the latest Build 14 with all updates so I know how to change the keys, but I don'tknow how to label them. Normaly it looks like this

#define CTL_CHEAT_GODMODE "VK_NUMPAD0"

What do I change the "VK-NUMPAD0" to?

Don't know if this will help but ...
My laptop has the same number number pad inset as yours.
Do you not have a "number lock" key ?
On mine it is located in the same line as the function keys in the top line of buttons - towards the right.
Press and hold Fn then press the lock key at the same time.

I've just tried it on my machine and it works fine it toggles on and of if you want but I don't think any of the keys conflict with the game except perhaps the K, but as I said you can toggle the numbers on and off if you need to.

I'm afraid I can't be of any help here. I do use PotC on a laptop nowadays, but I have a normal numpad. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />

Well, I did try the Num Lock key to no avail. I'll try again though. Thanks for the help.

Anyone wondering, 1000 Euro comes to about $1,319.17 USD. That's a little less than what I'll be paying for my new laptop this summer (Actually, it's around $1,500 which is why I have to wait. Don't quite have that much booty in da coffers.)

BTW: Try to change the cheat controls in PROGRAM\CONTROLS\init_pc.c to buttons you DO have on your laptop. You need to reset the controls to default afterwards.

Also, can anyone give me some idea of keys that aren't used. Unused and active in-game that is.
