NOW I CAN PLAY IT BUT AFTER A WHILE THE SCREEN TURNS BLACK AND THE GAME GO OUT

SOMEONE HAS A SOLUTION?

Glad you found your solution, lecop, <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" /> but sorry you still are having trouble. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

Do you get any error logs after the blackout?

What she meant was, is there a file called <b>error.log</b> in the directory to where you installed "Pirates of the Caribbean" (usually <i>C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Pirates of the Caribbean\</i>)?

Look in there for any file with that name, and if you have one, lets us know what is says. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Uh oh, that is a part of Windows... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

What version of Windows are you using, and have it got problems otherwise? it sounds to me as if Windows have lost a part of itself, somehow... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" /> Win32 is part of the core of Windows... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

First, try this:

<a href="http://www.registryfix.com/?hop=gemini02" target="_blank">http://www.registryfix.com/?hop=gemini02</a>

Not sure if it will work, but perhaps... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Second, if the first one fails, i you have got the Windows CD you can try a "quick" reinstall <i>on top</i> of your current Windows - thereby not having to reinstall it from scratch (and thus lose everything installed).

Not certain that will work either, but it is worth a try...
