VB 6 Runtime error

I have a small problem with the latest post 12 mod pack dated 4/22/06. i Get a VB Runtime error on start up of the game. its says vb runtime error with engine.exe. Any suggestions

Don't joke... engine.exe compiled with Visual Basic?! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> On my system it's VC++.

Did you change anything in PROGRAM directory? Maybe try to download modpack again and reinstall it.

Hi And thanks for the fast response. Actually i did not change anything in the Program directory. I actually uninstalled everything and reinstalled it again just to be sure. i did it twice and got the same error
thanks. and you are right it does say MV C++ I just redownloaded the mod pack and reinstalled it.
still got the same error. Sorry for the confusion.

- stock PotC
- Build 12.1
- post_b12_full
- optional update?

Maybe you miss some component...

Yep i installed it in that order as prescribed for the post 12 build.
