Video Card Support?

I was wondering if the 3D Prophet 4500 64MB video card actually had support for the game, since every time I try to start the game it loads everything but then fails to show. If it does not I can try to get a new card thats not to pricey, I haven't much money.

I've looked at a few reviews of the 3D Prophet 4500 and they seem to compare it with the nVidia GeForce2 MX. If that's reasonable then you definitely need something newer. I used to have a GeForce Ti4200, significantly more modern and more powerful than the GeForce2 MX, and although AoP did actually work with this card, it didn't so much run as walk.

So I'd recommend at least a GeForce FX5200, and preferably a 7600 or better. Or their ATI equivalents. You probably won't be able to use the most modern cards because your PC probably has an AGP interface, whereas the modern stuff uses PCI Express, but you should be able to get something which will work well with AoP.

reading the game requirements

it hasn't got a chance.

128mb minimum required video memory.

My Ti4200 only had 64MB video memory but still worked with AoP. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
