Walking interface

You know... I like that corner face, that I always saw when I walking in the Island... Dont use much screen and show much information... But when I think, that this kind interface was used on base game and 13 builds... Why not to make another new one? That should fit with b14? And could show more info, couse depending on Items, there is more thinks, that I think should be shown in gameplay screen, not inventory (I meen, egz: when I want to look what Items I equiped, I need to open inventory and search for Items with V on their Icons...)

What do you think?
 
Here is my egzample, Just 5 mins work to show my Idea...

Your Icon with your equiped thinks with notes (damage and ect)... and 3 faces of your officers...

mostly it is good. But, WHERE are you going to put it on the screen, and how big should it be? And who would code it in.

I just saying that It should be good Idea... Who going to code it? Don't know... Where I should be placed in the screen... I think Along the Top of the screen... How big It should be? We'll see how manny information we want to add...

Just saying that I's like to see ewerything in one place... Why putting that "floating" text with current date like in b8? Why not on specific square near your current equiped pistols Icon... Or Your face... which also could be placed in more beautifull way then just placing the interface image in corner of the windos...
 
i most certainly agree on a more elegant way to display the messages. as for the new interface, it's not really neccesary, but it would be nice.
 
I agree too, it is a really good idea. but it shouldn't be too big. otherwise you can't see your enemies coming <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
 
In little time I'll try something on ingame screenshot, so that'll be easear to imagine what I'm talking about...
 
Do anyone here know how to edit the character icon in the 3D-land interface? It sounds very easy, maybe even Mr. Durnius can do it by himself....all you need is the image, then you replace the previous image and add some codecs so that it works as Mr. Durnius want it to work....
 
Not realy, Becouse That What I wnat isn't just texture editing... I need to add texture to interface (like one with dialog showing)... While adding info and icons depending on curent game configurations... Damm that's cind of much coding... Yeah, It is too big... need to make another variation... but you got My idea? Something similr and for see battle interface... just no face, just compass with radar...

Yeah... and that also could give more use of those portrait files... I alwas wantd, that you could see your face in 3d mode, not image...

You want to use the talking heads outside the dialog interface? You're not the first one to try... Personnaly I would believe that we cannot acheive that, the dialog interface isn't like the others, most of the code lies hidden in the .dll files. The best I've done in trying to use those heads outside the dialog interface was to set one head as a character model. But as Pieter said, you better ask Pirate_kk!
