We are approaching Curacao

Yeah time compression seems to mess up a few of the functions that should trigger in Direct Sail mode. I've looked through the CCCdirectsail.c file and haven't been able to see why this should happen sadly(it would be nice to fix it for sure, although i generally use real time(x1) for all my game(except 'speed healing' on ocasion when things are bad).
 
I have successfully used DirectSail with time compression in the past. :shrug
 
Yeah, exactly that - and why isn't obvious in the code i've looked at???(tis a strange ship the ol potc one)
 
it is pretty obivous, actually. the game rewards sailing xp for real time, not game time.
 
I have a level 13 character with skills at 8, 7 and 6 and his sailing
is still level 1....along with luck.
 
how did you even manage that? the only skills i can get up to 8 before sailing goes up are repair and melee, and even then repair is rather doubtful. the rest just dangles after them.
 
dunno. but directsail is useless for me
because I don't get any experience
and I don't encounter ships.
