What does playlogic want to change?!
What is the meaning of changes on gameplay elements?
Linear game? and you have to cheat for a manowar?
Actually bad news,i don't think playlogic will make it better.
wait such a longtime for another potc?? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

I'm seriously worry about it.

I doubt we have to worry anymore, since now AOP has been released, and if they screw up the english version(wich is unlikley IMO) we could just have modders translate the text and dialouge for us, <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

Ah,yeah,you are right.We can make mods anyway... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Maybe I'm a bit nervous because playlogic always keep silent.They do not like to communicate with us. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

as far as I know, there's nothing dramatic in what playlogic wants to do with AoP. not another POTC anyway.

Agree.I also want to know what the crazy stuff is!

one of the things i can remember is that when player receives a quest, in every dialogue he should have a hint to how he can complete it. like "i need you to get me 100 slaves. you can get slaves by boarding an enemy ship", and that each time. there was some more wierd stuff, but I don't remember what it was...

some of the things they asked for were quite reasonable though...

AlexL, on many occasions (SLiB and Akella's forum) GrayAngel noted that Playlogic is into making drastic changes to the gameplay, making the game far more arcade-like

(f.ex. today he said "во-первых. запад увидит СИЛЬНО облегченую версию игры. она будет гораздо более аркадной. - скажите спасибо продюсерам Плейлоджика.")

So where's the truth?

they want to make the game easier indeed, and that's what GA was talking about... about balance mainly. but gameplay mechanics are more or less the same.

A bit of clarification about the difficulty and the general FUD about Playlogic - nothing bad is going on, most of their change requests are related to usability, which can hardly hurt gameplay even if they really wanted to, which they don't, of course <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> They don't want us to make a super-easy arcade game, they just want it to be a bit easier on the lower difficulty settings.

So on lower settings the game will be a bit easier than in the Russian version, but the hardest difficulty is just as hard. The difficulty is also highly configurable, so there's a setting for everyone.
