What language is PotC written in?

As the title says - is it C, C++, C#? or a mix? and what are we using to make the mods? Is it possible to combine C + C# for example? I'm a little nieve when it comes to modern computer languages - i still speak to my computers in basic, mostly they ignore me(not much changeing there then!) <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />

The language is similar to C, but it has some strange anomalies that only the PotC code has. So basically we have a special PotC code that is VERY similar to C.

Interesting - that would explain why i was thinking it might be a combination, as i mentiond i'm no C expert but i have had the misfortune( <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> ) of seeing lots of it during my gaming years....and well like you said PotC has its own style.

Still its made a great game, potentialy a really fantastic, all time top-ten game; so i'm not mocking it at all.
