You may say, "He doesn't look very 17th century." Well, you're right. But remember, I'm trying to move everything to 1801.

<img src="http://www.thelib.com/gallery/albums/userpics/lucas.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

I've decided to make a "dandied up" version with Lucas' face. I think these clothes better fit the whole aristocrat thing. This is completely chauvanistic, but I really hate this quest. Traditionally, you would be saving the damsel in distress... and I can see how you would change it up by making the damsel a man... but why, this guy, after being rescued asks to join your crew, and is supposed to then be some great fencer... It doesn't make sense. He should have put up more of a fight.

What would be a better ending would be to make him more foppish. He could stand outside the Governor's office and have various functions depending upon what quests people want to make. I would think he, and others like him, would be good for creating competition with the whole marriage mod. You might have to duel these kind a guys to win the hand of your fair lass.

Better face on the second, but I liked the first clothing better. I like the tan trousers and vest, maybe the waistcoat and the tie could be blue?

Changing him for the current Lucas makes sense as I've always thought why would a presumed excellent swordsman and soldier of Spain be such a wimp to get kidnapped and then be so subservient to you?

BUT... I really like that Spanish Admiral. I've always liked that model/character. Giving him such a wimpy son didn't sit right with me. I'd change the quest, not the character, and use this guy here for some OTHER quest...

OR make this guy a nephew or something of the Spanish Admiral, and he asks you to go find him, WITH the help of his son Lucas...

There's no saying we can't ALTER that quest to suit US! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

Perhaps we could make it the Quest to find Elena de Saldhana, not Lucas de Saldhana?

*Oh, I just remembered. Cat, if you have installed my Spanish military pack, you might want to go to the characters folder and find Jaoquin de Saldhana, or whatever the Spanish admiral is called, because I replaced him with a late 18th century Spanish admiral.

The subject of the new quest, senorita Elena de Saldhana?

Cat, I have no concept of women's fashion today, let alone 200 years ago. You did great job with your Fred Bob quest skins... I would appreciate any help would have in this one.

JMV 575,
All of the figures you're showing here, and all the ideas you're throwing around are great. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

My big disapointment with the Admiral's son quest was always that there wasn't any way I could rescue the son and keep the money, and possibly wipe out the kidnappers as well. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":c" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

A lot of the choices provided, in the original game in the various quests, made the main character do something stupid or wimpy so the quest could be completed, any change would make this quest better.

You are very right. Generally, in a game like this, different choices either in who you talk to or what you say change the outcome and line of each quest. That is not so in POTC. The dialogue poriton of the game really seems to be lacking. When I played it felt like I was forced into playing the game like "Nathanial Hawk."

How is this Cat? I based it off of the costume Antonio Banderas (or whatever) wears in Zorro to the `dance-shin` dig. It certainly makes him look like a dandy (and a gypsy).

Try reversing the colors of the waistcoat and the vest... I think that should look better (to me, anyhow). And the ruffles are a nice addition, yes, he's a dandy, all right! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Elena looks lovely!

I'm no expert on women's fashion from back then, however think back to some movies you've seen that have been set in the time period you're aiming for.

In looking at Elena, I might make a bodice on her that is a different color than her dress.

Check this out for ideas, maybe these links will lead you to sites that have photos of what you're looking for:

LOL, it's above her waist, underneath and supporting her... ummm... PROW. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> Like a bustier or corset, only for the outside of the dress. It is similar to a vest, only it has lacing and stays or whalebone to make the figure slimmer and display and support the hahaha PROW in a charming fashion. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

If someone could model us some nifty hats, we'd have us a Mariachi band here. Or the Infamous Three Amigos!
