When Sailing: Text on the ocean

I have noticed that there is standing text on the ocean.


check the sailing screenshot at the left bottom if you dont know what I mean:

Does anyone know if you can remove the text?


One of the parts I liked most in Pirates was the exploring part.That you dometimes didnt had a clue where you were but with checking the landscape you could guess.

I mean if you just have to read then a part of the exploring will be gone...

When William and I were at E3, we asked Jeff and Barry about this and IIRC, this is a feature you will be able to use only if you have a navigator for your ship.
