Where is the fast corvette?

Yo Ho together,
I have a question about the ships, with are added with the build mod 13. I'm searching the best ship for me. At the moment I have the light frigate 2 form the pirates. In one of the c-Files I found out, that there is a fast corvette with seems to be better for me. Now I'm searching this ship. I sailed to every port I can find and looked in the list of the shipyard - nothing. On tortuga I found a Manowar and the light frigate 2 too, but no fast corvette - same on turks.

Then I changed the list of available starting ships and choose the fast corvette - this ship is very good! But I want it not in a new game, i want to use it in my actual game. So where are the most chances to find it? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />

Do you mean the Pirate Corvette (Corvette6_50) by Petros? If so, she can't be encountered anywhere or be found in any shipyards. She is only available in two quest: The Nigel Blythe quest (started by letting Nigel kill Artois when you first get to Quebradas Costillas) and the Sink Pirate of Falaise de Fleur quest (started at the Falaise de Fleur governor).

BTW: You can make it so that she is encounterable or buyable. In PROGRAM\SHIPS\ships_init.c, find Corvette6_50 and set <i>CanEncounter = true;</i> or <i>CanBuy = true; </i>.

Yes, I meant the pirates Corvette. Thanks for your reply. I will try it today evening to edit the file. I don't want to play the quests at the moment.

that one from the governor is actually very easy. it's just one of those pirate hunting missions.

oh: i have encountered one in a normal pirate hunting mission once, and that was not the one from falaise de fleur.

Hello again,
I tried the solution out yesterday. Unfortunately it was not so far successful because I can't find it in any shipyard or seefight. Maybe this ship is too rare to find it at once. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Now I have startet another game with the pirate corvette on start. Before I manipulated a little in the ships_init.c. One Question about that: I saw, that I can insert the line about the used sails. I tried to use one of the red sails. It works ... but not every sail is set to red sails, two sails don't change. I know where I can choose the sailcolors in the game, but I want to set the default color for the pirates ships. Do you know, what I have to insert, to set all sails to a special sailset? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" />

i think that you can only get the pirate corvette in a pirate shipyard, and then it's still not guaranteed that you will be able to buy it the first time you look. if you don't see it, spend the day in the tavern, and if you can still walk after that, go see if it's there after that.

Yes, yes, I know. I tried it on turks and on tortuga 7-8 times. After that I sailed away, I made three seefights against pirates - one fight was very hard btw *g* - but there were no pirate corvette. I had no luck. Maybe I will meet one in a moment I don't think about finding it. I think I have to wait and must hold my eyes wide open.

i'd say: do the FDF quest, and berth it if you want to keep it for later. or use it right away.

You need to add <i>refShip.EmblemedSails.normalTex</i> AND <i>refShip.EmblemedSails.nationFileName</i>. Use the same path for both settings.
