I wonder if we should designate a difference between Personal Experience and Crew Experience. Some things like Leadership, Fencing, and Luck should definitely be associated with individual characters. Other skills would be a combination of the player and officers along with the experience of the crew. An example, the Captain could be excellent at gunnery, but if the crew is all lubbers, with no one knowing how to run out the guns and fire properly, all the skill of the captain is going to be for nought until the crew learns better. I would think that Sailing, accuracy, loading, and defense, would all be associated with the crew, just as much as the character.
