Small Brief

When sailing the game looks like Corsairs - Gold ,shooting with the cannons is like in Port Royale ,the sworrd fight looks like Pirates!.First impression is the speed of the game (does not need 80KB/per sec. works fine with 2KB/per sec.) you can purchase many stocks- food, sugar, cloth, cigarettes, gems and more.The game also has a tutorial , onsreen hints ,live chat (like in Ultima Online).The cities have a Governor residence where you get information about with wich countries your nation is in war and some other thing ,Merchant where you can buy and sell cargo ,Bank where you can deposite your gold ,Pub from where you can hire crew and special officers (Cook,Soldier,Carpenter...) ,the City Council is where you can get jobs to deliver goods ,sink a ship ,deliver a prisoner and more ,finally comes the Shipyard where you can sell/buy/repair and build a ship.

Here is a list of ship that can be build: Sloop, Pinnace, Barque, Fluyt, Merchant, Frigate and Fast Galleon.

The fencing part BLOWS!!!!

(YOU CANNOT take on a guy if he has 100+ crew than you. It just doesn't work. He gets a couple hits and your guy's morale is 0 and so you give up.) Damn!

I like the raft situation thought. Pretty funny.

They updated a whole lot on the new build. It looks like a massive multiplayer version of Pirates Gold ...

I had a server connection problem but i think the game will update today.

How do you play? I tried to download it but it requires a code. Is it still in Beta testing?

It's still in BETA.

They keep making modifications. I am worried it won't get any farther than beta. I wouldn't mind paying a schilling or two to play it when it goes live, but by then I will be completley addicted to Sid Meier's Pirates.
