    I'll definately play it. A monthly fee doesn't bother me, and I have broadband. My PC is decent enough, I plan to upgrade, and the game looks awesome. Definately not worth passing up.

    Where can I get a spyglass?

    I can't figure out where to buy a better spyglass. Right now I have a common spyglass, and am level 20. I've checked with various shopkeepers and street merchants trying to find one, but none of them sell any kind of spyglass.

    Alright, well in either case I have shared XP, so it shouldn't matter. It doesn't seem to be any certain officer or any certain officer slot, and if I place an officer I want to get xp as a captain of a boat I boarded, he will then get XP, and a random active one wont anymore.

    You're not alone, I have the exact same problem. I found it a bit weird that there were no title screen videos or anything for the game, and especially moreso when my friend told me about seeing a video when he left oxbay, and I saw nothing.     I'm pretty sure shared XP is only for sinking ships and killing people and the like, but quests give XP to all active officers. Even if he isn't getting the perk, that doesn't explain why 2 active officers are getting xp, 1 active officer isn't, and 1 inactive officer is.
