Your bare presence has driven me to log in and post a reply after (what? a year? more?) a long time. Great to see Akella personnel contacting, communicating, even debating with their fans. It's standard practice over at <a href="http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/index.php?referrerid=4542" target="_blank">Totalwar.ORG</a> for Creative Assembly programmers/artists to talk with modders and the results are clear: Best selling and well acclaimed strategy games.

I wish the same for the sequels of my dear Sea Dogs and Akella.

They will be about ready in Q1 but dont have a Western publisher atm with anyluck after E3 we will hear a bit about it
 
I really don't mind the navigation map much myself. Implimenting a way to be able to sail from island to island without being mindnumbling bored, and also having it not be 5 feet between slands is sort of tough. Time compression could work, but it just sort of seems like "Ocean, ocean, more ocean, wahoo..." As has been stated before, most sailing was pretty routine, which is why I like being able to go on the navigation map and get where I need to go in a couple of minutes, and then being able to zoom in and have a large map to sail and fight on.
 
Wait... wait... There will be NO sailing between islands in AoP!?
