Am I doing something wrong?

I've only just tried modding and it doesn't seem to work for me. I've gone to the correct files and followed the instructions found on many sites in order to rename my character and change the model to another one found in /RESOURCE/MODELS/CHARACTERS/. I've entered "Danielle" into the correct line, saved and then started up the game. I start a new game but alas I'm still in the default character (Blaze i think its called). Is there something I've done wrong? I editted it with Notepad made sure i saved and everything. Or do i have to delete old save games from before the modding for it to work? Please help. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

I assume your playing stock PoTC, forget it, its absolutley worthless, get Build 12.1 it brings PoTC to a compleatly new level, and is easier to handle.

Seriously, Build 12.1 is a modpack that raises the game to a whole new level. And you can change your character's name and model much, much easier as well.

Yes, if you change your name in the stock PotC, you do have to start a new game, I think. But you should really try the Build, it does make the game much more fun. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
