Any way to add more officers faces?

I looked through the MODs forum but didn't see anything about this. It is annoying to have 8 twins for officers. Not to mention it is PITA to trade with them.

You can get a bunch of unique officers from quests, and also a lot of the other captains you can persuade to join you are unique.

There are approximatly 18 different 'officer' models and portraits. The fact that you have so many twins is a bit unlucky. There are a dozen or so custom looking officers you can earn through quests.

Adding additional pictures and models to the game is easy, but to get the game to use an officer #19, we first need to find the line of code where it does the random officer generation and change it from RND(18) to RND(19).

You can add/edit custom officers, these appear as pirate captains and you have to do a few missions with them before they join. Is there an easy way not to change the 3d officer itself but just the faces which appear in the officer roster? Like adding the pics with the faces only and some tiny bit of additional code alowing the random officers to appear with random new faces at the roster only?

Dozen!? Holy crap, I only have five! Namely Pitt and Ogle from the starting quest, the musketeer, Workman from COAS and that chick from the cursed town quest. Where are the others?

Check out (RESOURCE\INI\texts\english\HeroDescribe.txt). All 18 of those entries, plus any that you add are 'custom' officers/captains. These are the guys that you meet in bars and do joint missions with and they can potentially join you as officers if they like you enough (after you do a few missions with them). Granted, a lot of those 'custom' officers use the generic portaits, but there are 5-6 that are unique. Michael Chard (bald buy with starfish tatoo on his head) is my favorite and Im actually using him as main character atm.

I actually recommend deleting the generic ones from the HeroDescribe list because there is really no point in getting a generic looking, 'custom' officer. Alternatly, you can populate the list with cool people like Chad Capper (admiral of CoAS, I like the idea that he somehow survies and now works for you), Morgan, Jackman, ect. Hell, you can even add a skeleton officer if you want. The only sucky part of these guys is that you don't get to specify their stats and when they get added to the game, their stats, perks and disposition are randomly generated.

** reminder: they are added to the game at the start and saved in your save game file. You need to restart to see any changes you make to the file.

Oh, those. I know about those. Those will still leave you if their morale drops too low. Officers you get from actual quests won't do that.

Yup, the the topic is still 'faces', and they do have some cool ones.
